Quick Release Dog Leash

This patent pending concept was thought of during a design class. Its purpose was to allow people to easily release a pet from their leash with out having to physically lean down and and release the mechanism.

The handle was intended to be injection molded while the other components could be machined or even 3D printed.

Some parts of it even incorporate parametric modeling that allows for on the fly dimensional adjustment.
